A Service In Our Community: Holistic Nutrition Counselling

Our friend Tanya Trofimencoff is collaborating with us this year to provide some nutritional insights to our community and co-lead some retreats for the first time ever! She is a holistic nutrition counsellor and owner of DNC Wellness in Saint John. Here's more information about her current services.

Hours are limited to Saturdays for workshops/retreats and/or 1-on-1 with space for 2 clients max at a time. Here is a detailed description of 1-on-1 services : 

1-on-1 Client Packages

$800/package

1h30min sessions

4 sessions total 

Includes complimentary 15-min discovery session

 

Clients choose from 1 of these 5 Pillars of Wellness to start. They do not have to do all of them, each package is separate. 

 

  1. BODY GROUNDING FOR PRESENCE

The Body Talks 

Your nervous system, rest, and discovering pains & comforts.

Danger & Safety

Understand your current experience of safety vs. danger. Then learn how to re-wire the brain’s perceptions to increase the awareness of safety in your life. 

Grounding Techniques

Head to toe awareness/meditation exercises along with a focus on jaw releases, kidney dropping, and the power of music and sounds.

Body Movement and Sleep

Connect to your body’s natural need for movement (explore somatic movement). Release body toxins, emotions & feelings, repair and regenerate.



2. NUTRITION TO ENERGIZE

Nutrition Assessment 

Food journal, assessment to understand nutrition choices and identify deficiencies.

Nutrition Basics 

See where you’re ready to make changes and set achievable goals.

Fridge & Pantry Makeover (consider doing a group event/workshop)

Visit your kitchen, organize, and invite better options.

Grocery Options to Maximize Nutrient Dense Foods

Let’s go shopping! Together we will go to various stores to explore what works best for you.

What are Emotions?

Name them, identify triggering circumstances, unmet needs, and how to process them.

Emotions vs. Feelings  

The difference between the 2 and recognize how they show up for you.

Thoughts vs. Feelings               

Learn the difference between them, the damaging effect when communicating thoughts as feelings, and how to effectively communicate feelings self-responsibly. 

Self-regulation                       

Learn about your personal range of tolerances and how to return to calm.

Empathy vs. Sympathy 

Understand how to be with others’ pains instead of offering solutions/minimizing their experience.

How are you living your life today? Exploring core values, satisfaction with life decisions, relationships, habits.

Reconnect with Creativity & Dreams

When imagining your dream life, what does it look like? Exploring music, dance, art, and writing to invite creative exploration of your dreams and desires in life. 

Inviting Play in the Mundane

Daily routines and responsibilities are necessary. How can you invite play and lightness in your daily routines? Games, songs, smiles, and laughter.

What Does Fulfillment Mean to You?

Importance of gratitude, community, and taking action towards a life of fulfillment.    

Move with the Seasons

What works today might not work for you tomorrow. Learn how to recognize inner promptings for change and how to be aligned with those needs more instinctively.    

 

Wellness Workshops

  1. PILLARS OF WELLNESS AS WORKSHOPS

Participants choose 1 of the 5 wellness packages.

6-week program $800/person
2.5 hours every Saturday morning
Minimum participants 12, maximum 20.
Deposit required ($100/person)
All workshops are in groups either online or in-person (depending on venue availability) 

 

  1. WELLNESS WORKSHOPS

For individuals or groups, businesses, and corporations

3-hours maximum

Rates are dependent on the following factors:

  • Wellness subject requested
  • Number of participants
  • Materials required
  • Travel costs
  • Preparation time to develop the workshop
  • Client budget

 

  1. CYCLICAL WORKSHOPS

Yearly workshops to be held outdoors on Saturdays, dates weather dependent.
