All About LifeDirt Subscriptions: What to Expect

All About LifeDirt Subscriptions: What to Expect

We are two weeks away from our first week of produce boxes! To get ready for the first box we wanted to post an FAQ of sorts for easy reference. This year we start up our subscriptions on September 12th, 2024. Are you considering a LifeDirt produce box, subscription or already a subscriber looking for more information? This post covers everything you need to know about our subscription service.

What to Expect in Your Boxes

Each box is curated with a variety of fresh, seasonal produce. Sometimes we include preserved local veggies. We focus on getting as much local produce as possible, bringing you quality and variety to ensure that every delivery is a delightful surprise. We also include some imported items to keep some variety during the colder months.

Prices

Our subscription options are designed to fit different needs and budgets. This year we have two subscription tiers - Small, Large. We now offer additional benefits for subscribers, such as a free box when pre-paying for your subscription. Check out our website for detailed pricing information and choose the plan that’s right for you.

Delivery Dates and Breaks

We deliver boxes on a regular schedule in and around Saint John, from Grand Bay-Westfield to Hampton and even Grand Manan! Deliveries range from $8.50 to $15 depending on your location. Please double check your delivery price and date. There are breaks throughout the year. This year the first round of boxes will be from September 12 to December 19. Refer to our delivery calendar (we're emailing this out to our email list next week) to stay updated on when to expect your next box.

Pickups & Deliveries
Pickups are available at Stirling’s Market, 666 Rothesay Ave, Saint John on Thursdays between 11am-1pm and 4-6pm. Deliveries to the Saint John area usually go out in the late morning, Kingston in the mid-afternoon, and Grand Manan deliveries usually arrive on island in the evening.

Pausing and Cancellations

You can pause your subscription up to one week ahead. For last-minute cancellations, while payment is still required, we will donate your box to a local charity.

Swap Requests

Not a fan of certain items? At the beginning of your subscription period, you can request what item(s) you always want to swap out. We’ll swap in whatever we have extra of each time! Any other swaps can be made in person if you come to the warehouse for pickup.

Box Returns

If you need to return a box for any reason, contact Miriam for assistance.

Gifting a Subscription

Want to share the joy of LifeDirt with a friend or stranger? Our gifting options allow you to subscribe on behalf of someone else, spreading the love and convenience of fresh produce delivery. Again, get in touch if you want more details.

We hope this guide helps you make the most of your LifeDirt subscription. If you have any questions or need further assistance, Miriam is available by phone or email to help!

What if I Don't Want to Subscribe?

You are still welcome to order a box now and then when you want it. We will have a limited supply of these to ensure nothing goes to waste, so they will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. The price will be a few dollars higher than the subscription boxes as it's a bit more work for us to process non-subscription boxes, but contents will be the same. We understand that subscriptions aren't for everyone!
