Sowing Goodness Initiative
Sowing Goodness: Share the Love with LifeDirt
At LifeDirt, we believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, local produce. Through our Sowing Goodness initiative, you can help spread the goodness of the earth by supporting individuals and families in the Saint John area who might not otherwise have access to healthy, whole food.
Want to know more about how this initiative came to life? Check out our blog post: “New Partnership Brings More Goodness to Saint John” to learn how you can get involved.
What Is Sowing Goodness?
This initiative allows you to make a financial donation to one of our partner community centers to provide fresh produce boxes to those in need. Both centers are registered charities, and your donations will directly support their mission to promote food security in our community.
Here’s how your contribution makes an impact:
- Recipients: Receive healthy, fresh produce to support themselves and their loved ones.
- You: Share something you love with someone in need while receiving a tax receipt for your donation.
- Community Centers: Expand their mission of promoting food security.
- LifeDirt: Connects more people to nature and fresh food through this collaboration.
How to Contribute
Making a donation is simple:
- Write a cheque or send an e-transfer to one of our partner community centers below.
- Include "Food Security: LifeDirt" in the memo line.
- Suggested amounts are $50 for a small box or $83 for a large box.
Community Centers:
Crescent Valley Resource Centre
130 MacLaren Blvd
Saint John, NB, E2K 3G3
crescentvalleyresourcecentre@gmail.com
Carleton Community Centre
120 Market Place
Saint John, NB, E2M 0E1
info@carletoncommunitycentre.ca
The centers will purchase the produce boxes from LifeDirt, and we’ll deliver them to the centers for distribution.
What Else Can You Do?
Some employers offer donation matching programs, doubling the impact of your contribution. Check with your employer to see if this opportunity is available to you.
Want to donate a full subscription? Reach out to us directly and we’ll help you calculate the total amount.
