CANCELLATION POLICY

Boxes are packed every two weeks on a Thursday. Each one is called a round of boxes. The 2026–2027 season runs from Thursday, September 10, 2026 to Thursday, June 17, 2027, for a total of 20 rounds. No box goes out on December 31; the season resumes January 14, 2027.

This is the schedule we follow. On occasion a round may need to move for reasons outside our control, such as weather, road conditions, or supply. We will notify you if that happens.

LifeDirt does not operate over the summer. All subscriptions end with the final round of the season on June 17, 2027. Subscriptions do not carry into the next season. To receive boxes next season, subscribe again when the new season opens.

New subscriptions close once four or fewer rounds remain in the season. From May 6, 2027 onward, only one-off boxes are available.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

How a subscription works

Your subscription is ongoing through the season. For each round of boxes, we pack your box. Payment methods are charged or collected on the Monday before each Thursday produce box.

Store credit

Store credit is for subscribers only. Every five boxes, you receive a store credit that can be used towards the purchase of anything in the LifeDirt store other than a gift card.

Small box: five boxes at $52.00 = $260.00. Your credit is $13.00.

Medium box: five boxes at $68.00 = $340.00. Your credit is $17.00.

Large box: five boxes at $85.00 = $425.00. Your credit is $21.25.

Each credit is 5% of what those five boxes cost. Box prices are set at the start of the season and do not change during the season.

The credit is added to your customer account automatically after the fifth box. You do not need to request it or enter a code. If you do not see your credit, please contact our team and we will look into it.

Store credit expires at the end of June, when the produce box season ends. You cannot give it to someone else, and it cannot be exchanged for cash. Delivery fees do not count toward your store credit; it is based on the price of the boxes only.

Skipping a box

You may skip a round of boxes from your account settings. No payment is charged or collected for a skipped box, and no box is packed for you.

Skipping ends the current run of five. Your count toward store credit starts again at one with your next box.

Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You do not need to contact us to cancel.

Payment methods are charged or collected on the Monday before each Thursday produce box. To avoid payment for the next round, cancel no later than the Thursday one week before that round.

If payment for the current round has already been charged or collected when you cancel, that box is still yours and you will receive or pick it up as scheduled. No box is packed for you from the following round onward after cancellation of the subscription.

If you cancel before receiving five boxes, no store credit is issued for that unfinished run. If you subscribe again later, the count starts again at one.

PREPAID ORDERS

How a prepaid order works

You may prepay for 5 boxes, or for the full 20-box season. Prepaid orders are 5% off, applied at the time of purchase. Add the prepaid option on the site and LifeDirt will contact you to arrange payment.

Prepaid orders do not earn store credit. The 5% is taken off up front instead.

Prepaid orders apply to the 2026–2027 season only.

If your boxes are delivered, you pay the delivery fees for all of your prepaid rounds up front, at the same time as the boxes.

Skipping a box

Prepaid customers may skip a round of boxes by contacting LifeDirt no later than the Thursday one week before that round.

The box has already been paid for and is not refunded. The box is packed and donated to a local family in need, to a help-yourself pantry, or to a local food bank or meal program.

Cancelling a prepaid order

Prepaid orders cannot be cancelled. Once paid, a prepaid order is non-refundable.

If you stop a prepaid order partway through, the boxes you have already paid for are packed and donated as described above.

If we are unable to provide a box for a round you have already paid for, that round is added to the end of your prepaid set, so you still receive the full number of boxes you paid for.

ONE-OFF BOXES

A one-off box is a single purchase. It cannot be skipped, and it does not earn store credit.
