🥖 What’s on the Menu?
All breads are 100% sourdough (no yeast, no preservatives—just real, slow-fermented goodness).
Country Loaf
Classic sourdough made with wheat & whole wheat flour. Crusty outside, soft & airy inside. Versatile, tangy, and freezer-friendly.
👉 Tip: Perfect for first-time sourdough buyers.
Long Bread
Spelt, red fife, and sesame seed sourdough in a “sandwich-style” long loaf. Rustic but refined.
👉 Tip: A customer favorite for toast & eggs.
Freyja
Hearty multigrain sourdough, named for the Norse goddess of beauty & strength. Nutrition of Danish rye with a lighter texture.
👉 Tip: Slightly larger loaf — great for families & meal prep.
Focaccia
Golden sourdough focaccia with rosemary, sea salt & olive oil. Crispy outside, pillowy centre.
👉 Tip: Serve warm — ideal for charcuterie or dipping.
Grandmother’s Sunday Loaf
Sweet-salty sourdough with honey, butter & sea salt. Inspired by Jesper’s Farmor (father's mother).
👉 Tip: Toast it — customers call it “healthy dessert bread for breakfast.”
Traditional Nordic rye: dense, seeded, long-fermented, nutrient-rich. A cult favorite.
👉 Why customers love it: easier to digest, high in fiber/minerals, blood sugar & heart-friendly.
👉 Tip: Slice thinly, freezes beautifully when pre-sliced.
🤔 FAQ (Bread-Related Questions You Didn’t Know You Had)
Does the bread freeze well?
Absolutely. Best methods:
🥖 Thaw & warm it up in the oven
🥖 Sprinkle water on top before baking for a fresh crust
🥖 For Rye Bread, slice before freezing for easy toast!
Are your breads gluten-free?
No, but because they are 100% sourdough and long-fermented, they are much easier to digest than regular bread.

Let customers speak for us
from 126 reviewsThank you for providing farm fresh local produce. My family and I can taste the difference. So nutritious. Bon appétit! :)

These produce boxes are always top notch but this time the real treasure was the peaches from NS - they were so juicy and delicious!

My wife and I love digging into our Lifedirt box every two weeks to see what new things we have to try. It's a real motivation to eat more fresh veggies. Not once have I been disappointed by the quality or variety of the boxes. Miriam and team care deeply about their customers and, I believe, equally much about the farmers and producers they engage.

This is the most rewarding subscription I've ever had! Im helping support a local business which in turn is supporting many other local businesses which all hold many of the same principles and values as I do when it comes to the food we eat and how we sustain and encourage community. I also get super fresh and delicious produce that essentially forces me to eat better and try new things because I'd hate to let anything go to waste knowing all the caring hands that had to work to get it to my kitchen. Thanks so much.

I am always pleased with the items in the box. I like the idea of a subscription since I missed a couple of weeks as they were all sold out

Thanks to Miriam & the Life Dirt crew for the time & dedication they put into gathering produce & other products from southeastern N.B. The price of the produce box is affordable, the quality of the products is excellent & the distribution to customers is done with a smile. 😊 And who doesn’t feel good supporting local farmers & buying Canadian 🇨🇦

I love the Bear Roots Forest teas. They are delicious. I'm so happy to have found an herbal Chai so that I can enjoy a Chai that still has a good, strong Chai taste without the caffeine.
