How We Got Started
LifeDirt is a COVID baby. Miriam started spending a lot of time in nature after being laid off at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March 2021, LifeDirt Foods, Inc. was incorporated. For local farmers, we provide a new way to get their produce to market year-round. For families, we offer an easy way to get the vegetables and fruits they need and support local without wasting time in the grocery store.

These produce boxes are always top notch but this time the real treasure was the peaches from NS - they were so juicy and delicious!
My wife and I love digging into our Lifedirt box every two weeks to see what new things we have to try. It's a real motivation to eat more fresh veggies. Not once have I been disappointed by the quality or variety of the boxes. Miriam and team care deeply about their customers and, I believe, equally much about the farmers and producers they engage.
This is the most rewarding subscription I've ever had! Im helping support a local business which in turn is supporting many other local businesses which all hold many of the same principles and values as I do when it comes to the food we eat and how we sustain and encourage community. I also get super fresh and delicious produce that essentially forces me to eat better and try new things because I'd hate to let anything go to waste knowing all the caring hands that had to work to get it to my kitchen. I love the Bear Roots Forest teas. They are delicious. I'm so happy to have found an herbal Chai so that I can enjoy a Chai that still has a good, strong Chai taste without the caffeine.
